Neil Soskin

Founder and Principal

Neil Soskin is the founder of the advisory firm that carries his name. He began his career by obtaining his CPA and completing an MBA from UC Berkeley. After graduate school Neil enjoyed 10 years learning commercial real estate and developing hotels and shopping centers, six of those years spent with The Taubman Company, an international leader in the shopping center business.

Neil then built his first independent advisory and brokerage firm, representing both tenants and landlords. After several years he merged with the nationally recognized leasing firm of Lord Associates, and five years later was recruited to lead the national expansion of Score Education Centers, a start-up company providing educational enrichment. Neil created a development and support team of 15, leading growth from 18 locations to 150. Building on his leadership experience, Neil joined Weingarten Realty, a NYSE traded commercial real estate REIT. Over his 10 years at Weingarten, Neil grew his role to a regional COO, leading 50 team members in 8 states with bottom-line accountability for a portfolio of 100+ properties totaling more than 11 million square feet and $200 million of rental income.

Looking for something more creative, Neil moved on to Primestor Development, a boutique developer in Los Angeles, CA, focused on creating best in class retail developments in the underserved urban core. Combining his deep leadership and real estate experience, Neil led the leasing, property management and asset management groups. Neil took particular joy and pride in contributing to the positive impact Primestor has on the communities it touches.

Since 2018, Neil has been utilizing his unique combination of well-honed leadership skills and deep commercial real estate experience to be of service to many advisory clients. He has a passion for commercial real estate, as well as relationships that make business and life fun and productive. In addition to taking on property challenges, Neil loves to mentor others and help clients navigate the unique challenges of family businesses.

Neil loves to leverage his own experiences and work closely with executives as they strive to find their own genius and tap into what lights them up. He finds reward in coaching these leaders to mindfully integrate that genius into their professional and personal journeys. Neil lights up when serving others as they become impactful resilient leaders, and create better balance between their professional, personal and family lives.

Personally, Neil loves to spend time with his children and is very proud of the adults they have grown up to be. He and his partner Gayle, love to explore neighborhoods, with a special focus on finding amazing hole in the wall restaurants. Neil is a bit obsessed with fitness, enjoying gym workouts, hiking and especially cycling. He also enjoys his role as a Big Brother, mentoring a wonderful 8-year-old boy. Neil has retained an affinity for his adopted home town of San Francisco, and particularly enjoys the Giants.
